It's all in a day....

Well. I am sure most of you know I was in a minor fender bender on Tuesday!!! I always am in the wrong place at the wrong time it seems, this couldn't have come at a worse time, with me being out of work and all, right?? Here are a few pics:
Luckily no one was hurt and Jackson was not with me! The damage wasn't that bad, but enough to have it repaired. So for the past few days I have been dealing with insurance companies and body shops!!! The process is more grueling when you are out of work I think, because you want things done ASAP!!! At least if I was working my mind would be occupied, so for now, I have a rental and my car is being repaired through my insurance, because the other person's insurance is taking forever. I will have to fork over my deductible st first, which is $500, so that sucks, hopefully I will get it back from the other insurance company!!! We shall see!!

Garage Sales, Bike Trails and Hooky Days, OH MY!!

Well our weekend started off great, Jon had to work so Jackson and I headed to my friend Tina's house (Logan and Madi's mom) to help with her community garage sale. She had kids clothes, toys, and car seats galore. We were there for a couple of hours and she made some loot! Sunday we woke up early, or Jackson and I did, Jon slept in, but not too long, because a bike ride on our trail here was on the agenda! It was a gorgeous day and Jackson did AWESOME... 8 miles on his little bike with no training wheels!!! The rest of the afternoon consisted of movies (Marley & Me & 7 Pounds), both were very good..... Jon had taken Monday off, because he works all the time, plus I wanted to spend a day with him.... All intentions of bringing Jackson to school so we could soak up some rays at the beach (at least rays for me, Jon would be covered in sun block and under a tent I assure you) seized at about 12:30am when we pondered the thought of getting up early, driving in traffic and wasting gas were all bad options, so the alarm clock was turned off!! We went for a nice lunch at Crisper's and just hung out. I am working on sending cards with Jackson's graduation pics to our family, so that will take up some of my time tonight!! My Bestie Jen and her daughter Abby are coming in tomorrow for a visit, can't wait to see them!!

GOODBYE Week, HELLLLLO Weekend

Today was a busy day for me, I am really stressing about the interview I went on yesterday and giving myself headaches!!! UHHH. I did my best to keep my mind busy that's for sure. I woke up with a pain in my lower neck and back, come to find out I fell asleep on my hubby's arm for 2 hours last night, that explains the pain... When I picked Jackson up from school today his graduation pics came in, so of course I was excited, I lovvvvvveeee pictures, especially ones of my adorably handsome little boy :)

So here it is:
It made me tear, our little boy is GROWING up , I am going to be a basket case come the First day of Kindergarten, I just know it!!!
He also brought home two projects he did this week, one was of a plant (of sorts), we will continue to water and give it lots of sun! The other bottle was a game they played which consisted of finding 7 items within the shell/rice mix and then display it in a bottle...
Sometimes we wonder what things are, but he is at the age where he can explain everything, in detail.... LOL We do not have any special plans for the weekend! Hope everyone has a great one, it is supposed to be beautiful here in Florida!

HUMP DAY!!

Well we made it to Wednesday... Only 2 more days til the weekend. I can't believe I still look forward to a weekend when I don't even work? I have become quite the chef (I like to think I was when I was working, but now I am a little better) lately. Trying to change things up a little and eat better, my hubby complains most of the time, but I still make stuff he just doesn't know everything I use to make the things he loves.... I went to register Jackson for after care today and totally messed the date up, good god! I already registered him for Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago, but aftercare is different. Look at all the mommy things I am learning!! I have an interview tomorrow with Blue Cross Blue Shield, hopefully things will go well and I will have a JOB in just a few weeks. HOPEFULLY!! Money is getting tight ya know what I mean! That's all for the past few days! Oh yeah what have you done to GO GREEN TODAY!! HAPPY EARTH DAY!!

Weekend's over....

I can't believe Monday is back again and April is almost over, time is flying by... Had a nice weekend with some friends, went over to Orlando and stayed at the JW Marriott, very nice hotel, hung by the pool, had a few drinks and just relaxed. I am praying I get this job with BCBS, but am still hunting while waiting. If things don't pan out I may pull Jackson out of pre-k for the rest of the school year and summer, so we can save some cash$$$$. I am trying to cut as many corners and think of all kinds of way to minimize the spending so we can live like this, I am not sure how long it will last and if I can handle, but we'll manage we always do!!! Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy Hump Day

Today was busy I got up early and got Jackson dressed for his end of year/pre-k graduation pictures. He was so excited and we talked about how he was going to smile and how this means he is moving onto BIG BOY school in just a few months. This is kind of a bittersweet moment for Jon and I, because our little boy is growing up so fast. All he wants to talk about is when he gets to 12th grade and college, I am like waiiiiiiit, hooooold on, doooon't rush it! Kind of sounds like deja vu, huh? I remember when I couldn't wait to grow up and how my parents used to say the same things to me, life really does fly. I just picked him up and he said he did great, had a yellow gown, white hat and a little black diploma!! As soon as the picture comes in I will get it posted. Not much else going on here, went for a testing session for a possible job with Blue Cross Blue Shield, fingers crossed I get an interview next week... Hope everyone is having a great week, Friday is almost here!

HAPPY EASTER!

We had a wonderful day, it started rather early I must say! My eyes weren't even open nor did I have a sip of coffee before Jackson came running in the room and started the hunt for eggs. We had to reel him in for just a second so we could focus! The Easter Bunny left a trail of cotton, so he knew exactly where he had been... Let's just say the Easter Bunny has gotten very generous, because the loot Jackson made would put me to shame when I was little.. What happened to good old fashioned CANDY, now it's all about the Benjamin's (he did not get any of those I assure you LOL)!! Is it me or are the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus gluttons for punishment? Or are they just softies for cute, adorable, sometimes mouthy children, nope gluttons that's it I SWEAR!!!!! Here are some pics for your enjoyment! Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Some Beach Fun...

Well we had a graet day at the beach today, Logan, Madison and Jackson were so good, they loved playing in the sand, burying themselves and catching some waves (sort of) LOL! Tomorrow we have some last minute Easter shopping to get done! Who knows what the Easter Bunny will bring Sunday!

Pictures with The Easter Bunny

Today Jackson took his picture with the Easter Bunny, at first the line was a little long, so we decided to have some lunch and wait it out. After lunch we attempted... He did great, we have come a long way from those "first" terrifying instances. It amazes me how in just 4 shots he took a great picture,
This is probably because mommy has taken pictures and made him pose from just a few months old! He is a pro and knows he can't move until I get just the right picture, some may call this stage mom syndrome, I just like to get good pictures taken that's all. LOL! We are gearing up for a beach today tomorrow, should be fun!

Spring Break Time

Well after a few days spent stewing over a job I lost I decided to take Jackson out of school for spring break. After all he should enjoy some vaca if mama can, right? So our day began early, of course, my child never sleeps past 6:30 ever... (he hasn't slept well his entire life).... , got dressed and headed for the bowling alley. We had a great time, he did awesome, got a strike and all...
Mommy took a picture while he did the ever so famous "granny shot" and the shoes are still the same ugly things I can remeber, who designs them?
The bowl is going to hit all the pins, you just can't see it...
Such a BIG boy!

Then we stopped by the mall for some retail therapy for mommy (just a little since I have been REALLY good). Since Jackson was such a good boy (and agreed not to tell dadday LOL) I purchased some dippin dots for him (hey a little bribing never hurt anyone, right)?? He picked cotton candy and of course me trying to be good was out of the question, because I had to taste it!!!

All things new...

I would like to welcome everyone to this site for your daily dose of anything and everything Jackson! Alot of things have happened since the new year, so much that I can not fit it all in this blog.. Some BIG highlights: Jackson is now 5 nearing Pre-K graduation and the start of Kindergarten at the end of August! WOW time is flying... It is hard to imagine Jon and I have a 5 year old some days. He is such a wonderful, bright child who definetly keeps us on our toes most days! Our hopes to expand our family are still in line, just not the right time, I guess.. We made our first trip ever to the Air Show at Macdill AFB last weekend. Bryan, Tina, Logan and Madison went with us and we had a great time, weather was a little iffy at first, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! The shows were amazing!

This past weekend my cousin, her fiance and adorable son from New York came for a visit. Friday the April 3rd we celebrated what would have been my dad's 58th Birthday with pizza and Coronas, both used to be his favs (of course the beer was only for adults).

Saturday we had a wonderful day at Lowry Park Zoo, followed by a nice quiet evening hanging at home! I am still on a hunt for a JOB, I have had a few interviews, but am still looking! So for now I am enjoying being home taking care of my family without the added stress of a job!
